THE CHALLENGE
A multigenerational retail group was preparing for transformation. The family recognized that real change wouldn’t just be about the business—it needed to start with clarity of values and direction for both the family and the company it owns.

What we did
Acumen conducted a broad listening exercise across family members, employees, and partners. We then:
- Surfaced individual hopes, concerns, and visions
- Enabled honest and constructive dialogue
- Co-created two sets of Purpose, Values, and Ambition—one for the family, and one for the business
Impact
The result was a strong foundation for the organization’s transformation journey. The two PVAs became guides for culture development, leadership transition to professional management, and investment decisions moving forward.
