Our client is a leading food ingredients supplier in the country, with success driven by its ability to cater to customized needs of B2B clients. However, its operations had become too complex and inefficient due to SKU proliferation and a lack of alignment between the demand and supply sides of the business.

What we did
Acumen worked with the management team to develop a 5-year strategic plan that would address these challenges head-on:
- Facilitated discussions among top leaders and the next generation of leaders to define financial and non-financial goals with the leadership team.
- Created a forum for the demand and supply teams to discuss, align and agree on a more balanced portfolio strategy focused on expanding high-potential categories and selectively entering new, high-value markets.
- With inputs from key managers and staff, we identified strategic imperatives for the company to achieve their customization business model more strategically and efficiently.
